Circus Artist - Aerial Hoop - Contortion
Having discovered a passion for circus arts at the early age of six, Thula Moon Martin began her circus career performing with the H.I.C.C.U.P. Circus on the Big Island of Hawaii. Thula then toured New England for three consecutive summers with Circus Smirkus, performing 80 shows in 10 weeks. At 14, she started her professional career which includes international tours, high profile corporate events, and new show creations.
Thula has developed a unique style on her double-tabbed aerial hoop which combines dynamic contortion, strength, and artistic manipulation. In addition, she consistently searches for innovative ways to challenge the technical and artistic limits of aerial hoop and floor contortion.
Thula graduated from the prestigious National Circus School in Montreal in 2015. She is now based in Germany, performing for a few different companies such as Wintergarden Berlin, GOP Variety, and Base Berlin.
